With such laying, thin parquet does not require fixation. The strips are inserted one into the other, and glued, but the entire coating does not connect to the walls and floor in any way. Hence the name “floating styling parquet”.
If the floor is not even enough, and the size of the differences is more than 2 mm., then it is necessary to carry out preliminary work. Glue is used in accordance with the recommendations of the manufacturer Parquet. If there is a certain risk of water ingestion, a plastic film is previously deployed. Its panels should be applied to each other by about twenty centimeters, and bend into the walls.
The first bar is laid with a groove to the longest wall. And do not forget about wedges with a thickness of 7-8 mm., which must be installed between the blade and the wall. This gap must be observed around the entire perimeter of the room.
The second row begins with the remaining segment of the bar. Do not level the seams of one row differently, they should be separated by gaps of fifty centimeters.
The last rows are laid in the same way.
Try that the glue remains on the cheeks of the groove, for this, white glue in a plastic bottle is ideal. Small difficulties can cause sawing off and installation of the last bar.
So that the parquet passes under the framing of the doorway, a piece of the bar is laid on the floor, and the base of the stucco ornament is fed.
Further glue dries for two days, wedges are removed and skirting boards are installed, which are nailed to the walls.
