Stretch ceilings are gaining more and more popularity for many reasons. They can be made in any room, they protect from leaks from the upper floors, accumulate water, but do not form condensate (and this is very important, for example, in bathrooms and pools), the layer between the ceilings provides excellent heat – and sound insulation. In addition, suspended ceilings are easy to clean, environmental, not fire hazardous and are distinguished by a wide variety of colors and textures. However, they also have disadvantages: they are afraid of injections and exposure to piercing-cutting objects, low temperatures. It is important to remember that if you do not have special skills and tools, independent installation and repair of ceilings will be a very difficult process.
Consider the main types of suspended ceilings: matte, lacquer and satin.
Matte ceilings are characterized by the absence of glare and can be used for any dominant color of the room. Such a ceiling looks like even and whitewashed and can be in harmony with any room. Since matte ceilings have a large color diversity, everyone can choose a ceiling suitable for a particular room. Built -in lighting devices can supplement such a ceiling.
One of the types of matte ceilings is satin stretch ceilings. They, like matte, after installation, make the impression of an ordinary ceiling, but have a weak color, a smooth texture, which makes them similar to ceilings, painted with water -based paint in white. In addition, satin ceilings are distinguished by a wide variety of color and images on them, of which clouds, heaven and stars are popular by themselves.
To visually increase the room, you can use not only mirrors, but also varnish stretch ceilings. To do this, choose models of light colors. When the light falls on such a ceiling, it spreads throughout the room, without scattering. And to arrange a corridor or living room, you can use varnish ceilings of dark colors.
