The kitchen trimmed with a decorative stone looks very elegant and original. And its quality and reliability will be able to withstand any unpleasant consequences of cooking: high temperature, humidity, dirt, mechanical damage, etc. It is very easy to care for such a coating. It is possible to even use domestic detergents.
Most often, decorative artificial stone is used for the design of fireplaces, decoration of kitchen aprons and walls.
To lay a decorative stone is easy. Concrete, brick, plastered walls of special training do not require. You just need to clean them of old paint or other finish. In hard -made areas, you can simply scratch strips for better adhesion to adhesive composition. Further, the surface of the wall and stone are treated with acrylic primer.
Adhesive mastic must be done thick, but plastic. The stone against the wall is pressed in such a way that the glue performs from all sides, but does not fall on the decorative part of the tile. Then a high degree of sealing will be achieved.
Laying should start with the corners, proceeding to the next row, after the end of the previous. You can move downward or vice versa. But in the first case, the glue will not fall on the already laid stone.
Stones, as a rule, are placed with embroidering (at a distance from each other). The formed seam is filled with a rainer mixture, which can be painted in the desired color. After the solution dries, its excess that fell on the stone is cleaned with a dry brush.
At the end, you can apply a protective coating that will significantly extend the life of the cladding.
