More and more often, natural stones have been used for the interior decoration of buildings: granite, marble, travertine. In addition to reliability, practicality and durability, these materials attract with their beauty and brilliance. However, over time, the stone can fade and lose its glossy. The reason is the wrong surface care or its feature: as a rule, natural materials have a porous structure – they have roughness and bumps in which dust, dirt and liquids accumulate. If they are not eliminated in time, this can lead to chips, cracks and appreciation. Such surfaces need immediate restoration, returning the product initial presentable appearance.
To date, there are several technologies, thanks to which the flooring or countertop made of natural stone does not lose their original aesthetic and quality characteristics throughout the entire service life:
Deep blur. This method allows you to save the surface of various types of dirt using a low -cost rotor machine and acidic, alkaline cleaning agents penetrating into micropores of stone. As a result, the product becomes impeccably clean.
Grinding. This method of restoration of stone is used in the presence of scratches, cracks and small chips. Perform the procedure by removing a thin layer of stone with diamond nozzles of a rotary machine.
Crystallization. Using a thermochemical process, restore any surfaces made of natural breed, except for granite. The essence of the procedure is to remove the upper layer of the stone and seal its pores using aggressive chemistry. In addition to mirror shine, surfaces become more resistant to mechanical damage and less susceptible to moisture.
Polishing. This is the easiest way to restore not only shine, but also the colors of natural stone by using a coloring pigment. It consists in removing the upper layer until the appearance of shine and further processing of surfaces with a chemical composition (wax and other components). This procedure gives a good, but short -lived result.
Polymer coating. The use of this recovery method allows the products to be returned to the products, protect them from dirt, moisture and mechanical damage. However, this method also has disadvantages: the surface of the stone can be destroyed, air access is completely blocked to it, which is why the material is not able to “breathe”.
You need to understand that absolutely all surfaces made of natural stone – both marble window sills and granite floors – need to restore shine in high -quality restoration conducted by professionals. Only then can you get a clean, smooth and brilliant product that will delight you with its beauty for many years.
