Cork materials are becoming more and more relevant in the building materials market. They easily withstand competition with other building materials, due to their many advantages. So, what advantages does the floor cork coating have, and what is its advantage over floor coverings from other materials?

-Thirdly, cork materials can be perfectly beaten in the interior, giving the room individuality and uniqueness;
-fourthly, cork coatings are slightly amortized when walking along them, so moving on such a floor is much more pleasant than, for example, by cold and hard tiles;
-Fifth, cork coating is not a favorable environment for the development of mold, so such floors are relevant even in the bathroom or in any other room with high humidity.
There are two types of floor cork coating, which differ among themselves as a way of laying. The first type of coating has the name “floating” and it is assembled, as well as the laminate. The second type of cork flooring is just slabs from the cork that need to be glued to the base of the floor.
And the one and the other type of cork flooring is easily laid, however, before starting to lay, you need to properly prepare the floor in the room. The most important thing in preparatory work is to give the floor absolute evenness and smoothness. If there is a necessity, then you can make a screed, or you can simply use materials such as chipboard or central stations for a cork coating as a basis for a cork coating.
The “floating” floor should be put strictly according to the instructions, and usually this work does not cause any difficulties. The only nuance – since the cork can expand a little over time, it is better to leave a small gap between the coating and the wall in this case.
Glue cork plates is a little more difficult, but only due to the fact that the glued element will already be impossible to align if necessary. This means that before gluing, you need to carry out accurate markings. Work on laying cork tiles should start with the center of the room, gradually moving towards the walls.
