Bench for the garden.

Bench for the garden.

Garden bench.

In any garden you need a bench on which you can put a shoulder blade and other manual tools (so as not to waste time on their search), put a bucket with green peas, put several zucchini or a bunch of carrots. In addition, a bench is a great place in order to sit down after work and admire the fruits of your labors.

Among the all kinds of types of garden benches, this classic shop without a back is, apparently, the most universal. It takes up a little space, allows you to sit as you like and look wherever you want, you can put it to the picnic table and put it on the gathered guests. In addition, it is great for growing plants in pots. Instead of placing pots directly on the ground, you can place them on a bench – it’s more convenient to work with them.

From boards with a cross section of 2 × 8 inches, cut two boards of seats (a) with a length of 58 inches and four blanks of 14 inches for legs (d).

Cut the legs in the form given on the cutting diagram. From the board with a cross section of 2 × 4 inch, cut five blanks with a length of 11 inches for blocks (c). From boards with a cross section of 1 x 4 inch, cut the two upper crossbars (b) with a length of 55 inches, two lower crossbars (d) 51 inch long and two jumper for legs (e) with a length of 13 inches. Give the forms of the form indicated on the cutting diagram.

Production of a bench.

Make the seat frame, attaching the two upper crossbars (b) to the blocks (c). Put two boards of seat on the upper edges of the frame, align and attach to the upper edges of the crossbreaks. Turn the assembled design.

Then fasten the legs (d) with the lower crossbars (d), placing the crossbars at a distance of the wn from the ends of the legs. Attach the upper parts of the legs to the inside of the crosses of the seat. Strengthen the connections, screw the screws into the legs through the front faces of the upper crossbars. Finally attach to each pair of jumper legs (e). Between the lower crossbars, insert the block (B) and attach it with screws. Clean all the corners with sandpaper. The bench is ready.
