The form and properties of the bitumen emulsion largely determine the properties of the source material. The main component in the production of the emulsion is ordinary bitumen or modified. Carbonular resin oil is used as a solvent. Purified water is also used, which contains a minimum amount of different impurities. Emulsifiers as chemicals belong to the class of amines. The initial consistency of these materials affects the conditions of their storage, use and dosage. To convert emulsifiers into salt, which subsequently dissolves in dispersion, acid is used. In order to prevent the “boiling” of the emulsion at the exit from the homogenizer, its temperature at normal pressure should not exceed 95 ° C. The complexity of the technological process in the production of the bitumen emulsion requires strict observance of the desired dosage of all components, as well as constant monitoring of each occurrence.
