Window painting is not such a simple thing as it may seem to be a non -professional. This is due to the fact that on wooden frames the destructive effects of street and room temperature and humidity, sunlight, snow, wind, rain have a destructive effect. Consequently, our windows need protection, that is, the correct coloring of well -chosen and prepared paint for this. Before proceeding to stain wooden frames, it is necessary to do wet cleaning in the room so that the dust does not spoil the freshly painted surfaces. Before painting the window, you should repair, wash and dry. First remove the old paint with a metal spatula and sandpaper. Then wipe with white slice and wash. Process the formed cracks with putty for wood, let it dry and walk with sandpaper. If there are deep depressions, they should put them in several layers, with a thickness of not more than 2 mm and drying each layer. A primer is applied to the low -powered clean surface of the frames, and with a brush, and not a roller, since the brush is excellently grinning all the roughnesses. After drying the primer (this is 2-4 hours) we proceed to further work. It is better to paint in dry weather. Before the operation between the tape and the frame, we glue the masking tape with a gap of 2 mm, the gap will protect the frames from moisturizing with water flowing through the glass. If the paint was stored for a long time and was contaminated, it must be filtered through gauze, mix well so that there is no sediment. The paint should not be too liquid. We begin to paint with external frames. At first, hard -to -reach places are covered with a narrow brush. Then the horizontal parts of the binding, then – vertical. After that we paint the window box. Make sure that after applying the paint is well -protected. If there are streams due to liquid paint, you need to let them dry, clean it with sandpaper and cover this area with normal thick paint. Maslar tape should be removed before the paint dries, so as not to tear it off along with the paint. If dark spots appear, then the putty was not enough dried or the surface is poorly primed. The dark spot needs to be cleaned and painted this site again. To eliminate wrinkles on the painted surface, you need to clean the spoiled areas and paint the frames again. This can happen if the paint dries too fast. Grains and small garbage, which appeared on stained surfaces, are cleaned with sandpaper. If, after painting, bubbles appeared on the surface, you also need to remove all the paint in this place, dry it and paint it again. Unlivable areas, scratches on the paint, as well as its exfoliation, is corrected as described above: clean the surface, dry, primed and paint again. Despite the fact that masking tape was pasted on the glass, their pollution is possible. In this case, we remove the paint with a razor blade, knife or chisel.
