If you can’t choose in any way in which color scheme to design the interior, the time will return to the origins, to the classics – to black and white. And here there are no boundaries, because even a slight change in colors creates a different interior solution and a completely different mood.
Black and white are colors that never go out of fashion and are almost always present in one or another proportion. Very widely black and white gamma is used in fashion institutions and boutiques, and this is quite justified: against this background, the presented samples of clothing and accessories look more impressive.
In home interiors, a combination of black and white is not found too often, perhaps because they require a non -standard approach and a developed sense of style. However, if you turn to the experience of designers and attach your own imagination, you can turn out to be completely non -standard, concise and at the same time amazingly expressive interior.
White or black
Which of these two colors to choose dominant? It depends primarily on the dimensions of the apartment. In our small apartments, preference will most likely be given to white color, since it visually increases the size of the room, and the black color in this case will become a concomitant element.
The height of the room will also help to visually increase the height of the mirror. By the way, you can borrow the idea implemented in one of the royal palaces: when the mirrors located opposite each other created the illusion of endless space. But keep in mind, white walls can quickly get bored. In order to avoid this, you can place several sconces with bright multi -colored lampshades that will make the color scheme of the room completely different.
In a large room, you can create a very spectacular and non -standard interior in which the black color will dominate. It can be “diluted” with volumetric floor lamps or white table lamps. One of the walls or floor will look very original if you apply decorative patterns through a stencil. For example, with a black and white room design, stylization for Khokhloma painting will look great, where a combination of colors as red with gold prevails.
The advantage of the black and white room is that furniture and household items of absolutely any color will fit into it. Sofa and armchairs with a bright cloak, vases, flowers – here everything will find its place. You can hang black and white family photos or picturesque canvases in bright colors on the walls. And rich Baroque frames will create the impression of luxury and elegance.
If you are weighing to minimalism, then you can make the framing of the paintings more concise – within the narrow framework of neutral colors. The interior in black and white tones itself resembles a frame that frames bright color spots, and you can always fill it, focusing on your taste and fantasy.
