The modern market offers a variety of flooring, both traditional and the most important, but the parquet, as many years ago, retains a leading position. Parquet can be different, but there is one type of this coating that can be safely called a work of art. This is an artistic parquet.

The richest surnames of the Russian Empire used it to design the interior of their palaces and estates. Such a parquet was so beautiful and skillful that even Italian masters came to Russia to admire these masterpieces and try to understand the secret of production.

Nowadays, art parquet has become more accessible, although it costs much more than ordinary parquet. This became possible thanks to the development of manufacturing technologies. But still artistic parquet remains piece goods, as it is produced in most cases to order, according to designers and artists. For the manufacture of this reliable and durable coating, the rocks of coniferous and mixed forests, as well as the red tree and bamboo, are used, which makes it possible to improve traditional drawings, bring something new to them.

It is best to lay an artistic parquet in well-ventilated dry rooms, the humidity of which is 40-60%. If the humidity is lower, especially in winter, the parquet will dry out, and if above it will swell.

If something similar happened, then to restore its original appearance, a mastic on a water-soluble or turpentine basis is used, special funds for the parquet. The stain formed on the floor can be removed with gasoline or alcohol, which is impregnated with a rag, and then wipe the contaminated place.

As for the general recommendations for the care of art parquet, then everything is quite simple. You need to remove it with a broom or vacuum cleaner, do not use a large amount of water. Abrasives and sand can damage the protective layer of varnish and scratch the coating. Parquet must also be protected from heels and claws of pets. Subject to all the rules and regular care, art parquet will delight you and your family for a very long time.
